When we got there, I was surprised to find 3 other doggies up there to play with! There was Jasper and Lupin (pictured below), and a new friend, Harley, a 4-month old Sheltie.
We would hang out by the pool, and watch the kids (and Richie) play in the pool. It was pretty hot there, so we Berners would just find the coolest, shadiest patch of patio to lie on. That crazy Jasper would actually lie in the sun, on the hot cement! We could also easily go for a stroll into Grampa Chin's fruit garden/orchard area when we need to go #1 or #2. It didn't make him very happy, when Grampa went up to pick his cherries, only to find that we had laid land mines all over the place!
We also went for a walk to a place called "Peterson Creek Park" - just a block or two away from where we were staying, it was a nice hike down to a cool, lush play area. We ran (ok, I ran) around in the water, trying to get the other dogs to play with me, but they weren't having anything to do with it. It was great fun drinking from the creek too.
